 Jeffrey W. Killian

          Jeffrey W. Killian is a member of the Manti City Council elected to office in November, 2021. His term
expires in 2026. Jeff is married to Claudia Tibbs and together they have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.
Jeff attended and graduated from Manti High School in 1969. He attended Snow College 1969-70 and
Brigham Young University beginning in 1972. Jeff received a Bachelor of Arts from BYU majoring in
Political Science in 1975 and a BYU Master of Public Administration in 1977.

           Jeff’s life reflects a strong interest in civic affairs throughout his career and retired life. After initially
working for Salt Lake County, Jeff worked in the field of city management, serving as City Administrator
for Price City, Assistant City Manager for Lafayette, California, City Manager/Finance Director of
Marysville, California, and finally Assistant City Manager/Finance Director and City Manager of Millbrae,
California. After retirement, Mr. Killian volunteered as a member of the Manti City Planning
Commission as well as Chair of the Planning Commission for 8 years.
Personal interests include horseback riding, flying, hunting, fishing, motorcycles and cars. Jeff was a
member of the International City/County Management Association for 33 years, Municipal Finance
Officers Association, and led the effort that resulted in the City of Millbrae, California receiving the
Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from Government Finance Officers
Association for the United States and Canada.
