Manti City Carnegie Library

2 South Main

The Manti City Public Library, was built with an $11,470 grant from philanthropist Andrew Carnegie and was one of 23 Carnegie libraries built in the state of Utah.  Designed and constructed in the Classic Revival style, the building was dedicated in 1912.

The idea for the library began in 1901 and became a project of the Manti Ladies Literary club. The club, organized in 1895 still functions today and meets monthly at the library.
