Manti Presbyterian Church / Legion Hall

Manti Presbyterian Church

189 South Main

The Manti Presbyterian church was built of native oolite stone in 1881  at a cost of $4,000.  The Gothic Revival building was designed by Salt Lake City architect Peter Van Houghton at no charge. The tall one-story building has a steep gabled roof and a stone tower surmounted by a wooden belfry.

The building was added to the National Register of Historic Place in 1980 and is currently owned and used by the American Legion and is locally known as "Legion Hall".  The bell continues to be rung for every July 4th to celebrate America's Independence Day.
